Frequently asked questions

For the vast majority of auto repair jobs, such as brakes, wheel balancing and tyres, drivers can come into our Belfast address during our normal opening hours. However, if you need to have your car serviced or it is due for an annual MOT, a pre-arranged appointment has to be booked.

We recommend you should give us plenty of notice. On the day that an MOT is due to take place, bring it to us before 9am where we can carry out the relevant changes. We can even take it to a test centre on your behalf.

If your vehicle does fail an MOT, the necessary work will be done where it can be retested within twenty four hours. When we believe work has to be carried out, we contact our customers. Gilnahirk Tyres and Exhausts will never do work without being given consent.

Our mechanics are fully qualified and also very experienced. Thanks to our 25 years’ experience, we fully understand the importance of doing the job to the standard which our customers want. Consequently, our customers know who to come to if their vehicle experiences problems in the future.

Credit and debit cards are accepted by Gilnahirk Tyres and Exhausts. We can even be paid by cheque and cash.

The answer to the vast majority of jobs is yes but this depends on what work has to be done. As we stock a range of parts and products, we can complete the work very quickly and to a high standard. We can do most work within an hour. Consequently, your car will be ready for collection once you’ve finished work.
